A central Asian pendant. Ersari people, 19 th century.
I was drawn to this non standard piece, it has a great charm and naive aspect to it.
Two goddess forms linked with a heart, a rural piece which i feel may be a representation of twins.
set with glass and agate and with fine undulating silver wire work.
the silver chain it is suspended on is beautifully made in twisted figure of eight rings.
The pendant is an imposing 13 cm long
and weighs 65g
